In general terms, carbohydrates are sugar molecules. They are one of the essential requirements of the human body along with proteins and fats. They provide energy to the body for carrying out day-to-day activities. The proportion of carbohydrates in different veg food items is not the same. It varies. Potatoes- It has 57 grams of carbohydrates in one full big-size potato.

The items mentioned above can be placed in a list named as high-carb vegan food list. There is a separate list of low-carb vegan food items including vegetables such as spinach and cauliflower, fruits such as watermelon and peach. All the fruits, vegetables, which are present in the category of high carb vegan food list have a major share of carbohydrates out of all the nutrients present in them. In some of them, the quantity of carbs is very high and in some of them, the proportion is comparatively low but significant. It is very important to have a good idea about the different types of nutrients which are present in the items we consume. It will help us to maintain a healthy diet which will eventually lead to a disease-free life.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of High Carb Diet

If we see the world around us, everything has some features to notice and some anomalies which cannot be neglected. This topic is no different. Everyone needs a good amount of carbohydrates in their diet for the proper working of the body. Our body breaks carbohydrates into glucose and glucose gives us energy. But as discussed earlier it has some drawbacks also. If a person takes a high amount of food which is rich in carbohydrates, then that person can suffer from life-threatening diseases like blood sugar which can lead to any kind of heart and liver disease.
